Probably one of the fist things that guests notice about The Country House is the sense of "home".
It starts at the beginning of the driveway with enticing views into secret gardens abundant with butterflies and fragranced air. Then the team and the House herself just seem to embody a feeling of family and belonging - of coming home. The individual thatched cottage suites are plush and calming, decorated in a pale green and oyster palette accented with a romantic sparkle of crystal trimmed canopies and dainty chandeliers. A privately positioned patio and garden makes for tranquil relaxation, reflection and reconnecting.

The 8 individual thatched roofed Garden Cottages are each privately positioned along the winding fairytale paths of our fragrant country gardens. The interiors join past and present with modern plush textural fabrics in a calming palette of oyster shell, mushroom and soothing pale greens off set by antique polished pieces and the twinkle of dainty chandeliers. Each Garden Cottage is approximately 45 square metres in size, has a fireplace, air conditioner, mini bar, complimentary tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer and en-suite bathroom with separate bath and shower and of course a garden patio with table and chairs for bird and butterfly spotting.

Superior Garden Suites - Hunters Country House

At 60 square metres, each of the 5 Superior Garden Suites are roomier with a full sofa and extra armchair at the fireside. The extra dresser and wardrobe space are ideal for longer stays. Throughout, the fabrics are rich and luxurious and the bathrooms have the added facility of a bidet. The larger patios feature sun loungers and a parasol. Each Superior Garden Suite, as with all the others at The Country House; boasts a fireplace, air conditioner, mini bar, complimentary tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer and en-suite bathroom with separate bath and shower and of course a garden patio with table, chairs and loungers.

De Luxe Pool Suites - Hunters Country House

Offering 85 square metres, the 2 De Luxe Pool Suites have a separate lounge and dining area with large flat screen TV and French doors opening on to the stone patio and sundeck of the private pool and garden. The large and sumptuous bedrooms lead on to a separate dressing room area and a large bathroom with twin basins, heated towel rail and an outdoor shower. As with all of the suites at The Country House, the De Luxe Pool Suites also have a fireplace, air conditioner, mini bar, complimentary tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer and en-suite bathroom with separate bath and shower and of course a garden patio with table and chairs for quiet outdoor dining and of course loungers at the pool side.

The Master Suite - Bed & Breakfast

The Master Suite - Hunters Country House

The 125 square metre Forest Suite is almost a house of your own. The entrance hall leads past a butler's kitchen, and guest restroom, before the split level dining room and large lounge with home entertainment system. This in turn leads on to the outside entertainment area, a thatched gazebo and private swimming pool. The bedroom is vast with an antique chaise longue in a sunny bay window, its own vintage fireplace, magnificent four - poster bed and French doors lead onto the pool area and garden. It is possible to open two inter-leading doors to the superior Garden Suite next door in order to have a Family Villa experience. Again, as with of The Country House suites, the Master Suite also has a fireplace (2 in the case of the Master Suite), air conditioner, mini bar, complimentary tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer and en-suite bathroom with separate (sunken) bath and shower.

The Country House Facilities

For absolute peace and tranquillity, venture no further than the Estate itself.
Secluded within the gardens are 18 luxurious suites, individually designed and decorated, each uniquely distinctive. All have private patios and gardens, certain suites have their own plunge pools while all guests can enjoy the hotel’s large sparkling outdoor pool. We have the Cub's corner for the children and the Teen Scene room for the children a little older.
We too, have conference facilities and complimentary Wi Fi in all public areas.

Dining

The romantic and beautifully appointed candle-lit dining room is the setting to enjoy superb cuisine prepared by our acclaimed ream of chefs.
A choice of select Estate or prized Auction wine is recommended from our cellar.

Forest walks, family fun and activities for all including a Boules Court, a swimming pool and a general relaxation in verdant gardens.

Our intimate “Chapel in the Forest” is the perfect setting. Vows are proclaimed while being framed by floor to ceiling windows overlooking the valley of an indigenous forest. The Chapel can accommodate up to 50 guests seated to share this moment with you.
