The Mount Nelson Hotel opened its doors on the 6th of March 1899. Situated in the heart of Cape Town, nestled against the slopes of Table Mountain, this renowned hotel has been around for years and is still standing strong!

Prestigious awards have done the rounds with this establishment. The Daily Telegraph voted it the Best Hotel in Africa. The Mount Nelson also featured as one of the Top 100 Greatest Hotels in Travel and Leisure (2007).

The Mount Nelson is divided into different sets of wings. Four of the wings are positioned in the hotel itself and six individual wings are separate for supreme privacy and seclusion The facilities offered to guests are unparalleled by any other in Cape Town. Heated pools, tennis courts, a gymnasium, beauty treatments in the salon, as well as the new R18 million Spa opening January 2008 to name but a few.

Deluxe Suite - The Deluxe Suites offer twin or king-size beds with a separate bedroom, living and dining area, a private courtyard and a balcony overlooking a picturesque courtyard with fountain. A kitchenette / wet bar is provided with small microwave, washbasin and general kitchen utensils in selected suites.

All the suites offer luxurious marble bathrooms with walk-in dressing rooms. Bathroom amenities include a range of exclusive L'Occitane soap, body lotion, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. The Mount Nelson Hotel boasts a total of 10 wings, 4 of these situated in the Hotel and 6 individual wings separate from the hotel. This arrangement provides guests with a selection of 57 suites and 144 bedrooms, all individually furnished with private bathrooms.

Guests are offered the opportunity to request the scenery they would prefer from their rooms. This includes a choice between views of the gardens, Table Mountain, the swimming pool and a private courtyard/balcony. All rooms have a variety of amenities ranging from air-conditioning to 100% cotton linen and non-allergenic foam pillows!
