Cedar Trees, unusual rock formations and caves featuring San rock art, plus the impressive high peaks of the range, make this a unique and enchanting paradise. Add sparkling, pure rivers and pools and varied fauna and flora and you can't surpass the beauty of the Cederberg.

Today we hike down a historical pass en-route to the Welbedacht Forest Station. The route follows a sparkling mountain stream and the night is spent in Welbedacht Cave. Along the way we have a look at an old leopard trap. Today, farmers and conservationists alike work hard to re-establish the leopard in the Cederberg.

Leaving the cave, and crossing a shale band know as Die Trap, we ascend to Spout Cave. Here we leave our packs and enjoy a scramble to the Tafelberg summit, 1968m in height. We spend time exploring a myriad of fascinating rock formations, including the famous "flying saucer".
