The coastal waters offer snoek, yellowtail, yellowfin and longfin tuna, as well as other species. There cannot be a more delicious meal than that of freshly-caught fish that you have prepared and cooked yourself, although many seaside restaurants offer excellent fish that has been caught right outside their front door. If you prefer fresh-water fishing, then within an easy distance of Cape Town there are a number of well-stocked streams for your fishing pleasure.
