Daily charters are available throughout the week. You can choose between Shore or Boat dives.
We recommend Shore Dives for your first option, especially if you are new to diving.
Morning and afternoon charters are offered. Times vary depending on the amount of dives to be done. For multiple dives it is best to start in the morning.
We take daily conditions into account when selecting the best dive sites for the day.
A large variety of dive sites can be accessed on the False Bay Coast. The best times for these waters are April to September.
Here are three examples to whet your appetite
The Clan Stuart Wreck (1914)
Shore Dive
Just off Glen Cairn Beach you’ll discover the wreck of this British turret steamer which ran aground on 21st of November 1914. The night left her literally wrecked - broken up with only the engine block visible from the surface, still visible today. A great wreck dive for beginners. The odd seal can be spotted as well as Shysharks, Zebra’s, Red Roman, Cuttlefish and octopi.
Max Depth 9 meters
Roman Rock
Boat Dive
Previously only available to naval divers, this site is now open to the public. You can expect to encounter plenty of reef fish and big Red Roman. The seabed here is full of invertebrates and sea cucumbers. Once again, seals may be encountered.
Max Depth 25 meters
Windmill Beach
Shore Dive
Well-used for training new divers, this secluded beach near Simons Town has easy entry/exit points. The sheltered nature of the little bay makes a haven for marine animals.
You’ll love the plentiful octopi, kelpfish and nudibranch that populate the site. You may also encounter a 3-meter stingray. There is a rocky point, covered in kelp, which can be dived around. Urchins, Pajama sharks and dogfish are regularly spotted here.
