If you don't like to swim but that find that boats restrict how close to the water you can get, then why not try sea kayaking? This is a small but stable craft that requires human paddling for propulsion, and is similar in size to a canoe. Mouille Point is a popular starting point as it is close to the city and the waters are easily accessed. Paddling out of the cove and into the ocean affords you an excellent view of the mountain ranges. Seals, penguins and dolphins are often spotted in this area. Cape Point, Simon's Town, and the West Coast are also popular places for kayaking as the sea is usually fairly calm and there are numerous fish, birds, and mammals to see. Choose from paddling adventures lasting between two hours and ten days.
