Big Five One Day Tour
Don’t believe a Big 5 safari has to take you all the way to the North of South Africa, or that it requires several days. You can experience the magnificent Big 5 up close and personal during a one-day safari right here in the Cape. A mere hour’s drive away from the city centre is an authentic game reserve set in 4 500 hectares of pristine Cape Karoo landscape, covered in rare Fynbos and Renosterverld vegetation. What’s more, this luxurious tour has plenty of special extras laced throughout to make the day a truly sumptuous affair.
The Tour
We welcome you with early morning coffee / drinks followed by a full buffet breakfast. Your game drive in a luxury 4x4 safari, with experienced rangers, takes a leisurely 2 to 3 hours. You will get the opportunity to view not only the famous Big 5 animals but also other species of African fauna.
A visit to a San Bushman rock art site is a special part of the Cape safari experience, harkening back to the dawn of civilization.
En route you will enjoy a glass of sparkling wine overlooking incredible scenic vistas.
A delightful luncheon is served under the outdoor boma at the main lodge.
After lunch, in the hot summer afternoons you can enjoy cocktails at the pool. In winter cozy up by the fireplace for port and a cigar.
