Description

Sea birds are common in and around this Peninsula, but if you want a truly special sea bird tour then we suggest this pelagic birding tour. Early in the morning we try to track a shipping vessel which can attract thousands of sea birds, sometimes up to thirty species!
The boat trip includes a light lunch, refreshments on board, expert guides to point out the lesser known facts about the birds, as well as a species checklist for your own enjoyment. We recommend an early start to this Cape Town sea birding tour as the best birds are seen during the early morning.

Tour:

We begin at Simonstown harbour with a short introduction to the bird tour, as well as the safety talk. Seven in the morning is our start time, as we depart for open seas. We usually see Albatross, Pintados,

We usually see Albatross, Pintados, Shearwaters, Terns and Skuas on an average boat ride. Of course, birds are not the only animals to see on this trip, which can include seals, sharks, whales and dolphins. Return to the harbour around three or four hours later after a wonderful seabirding tour in Cape Town.
