Description

An unforgettable day awaits you on this one day tour of the wild West Coast of the Cape. This region has a unique ambiance and appeal for tourists young or old, experienced or new, foreign or local. The West Coast National Park showcases the best of the natural, desolate beauty of the area.

The history of this coastline is as fascinating as it is ancient. Some 117 000 years a lone woman walked across dunes at the edge of the lagoon and left mark - her footprints - preserved through the ages by layers of wind-blown sand. These footprints, named "Eve's footprints", were recently exposed when the sandstone cliffs that had concealed them collapsed. They have become a famous site for visitors to the region. Walk in "Eve's footprints" as you explore the reserve.

This Cultural centre is newly opened. It is an important showcase of the ancient people of this country. Unlike some cultural tours which tend to be disrespectful and patronizing, this centre has a different slant, working with the people.
