Migrant wader species make the fragile salt marshes their home on their annual visit to the region as many as 70 000 birds come to feed here each year.

Come spring and the strandveld comes alive with colour  multi-tones and hues of flowers form a natural carpet and people come from around the world to marvel at this spectacle.

The day tour ends with a very special encounter at the !Khwa ttu San Culture and Education Center. Here, San guides of Strandloper descent take you on a journey back into their past, and proudly speak of their future. You will accompany them on a game tracking journey across ancient lands to a boma offering spectacular views across the ocean to Table Mountain.
