Winelands Extravaganza Tour

DAY 1
Cape Town - Stellenbosch

The Winelands Extravaganza Tour offers the best of the wine regions South Africa has to offer in one tour. We collect you from your hotel/airport and head for the Stellenbosch region. The farms we visit today are Warwick, Beyerskloof for a tasting and lunch. We then head for the town of Stellenbosch for a walk through the streets admiring the Cape Dutch and Victorian architecture on display. Our last vineyard for the day is Guardian Peak before we check in at our guesthouse in Stellenbosch.

DAY 2
Stellenbosch - Montagu

We start our day with a chocolate and wine tasting at Waterford, before following Clarence Drive, one of the most scenic drives in SA towards the Whale Capital (Southern Right Whales June - November) for our next tasting at one of the most southerly vineyards in the country. Lunch is at the Heaven Restaurant (known for its fantastic views and just as good food). We travel inland past the rolling wheat fields, past Caledon and onto Montagu.

DAY 3
Montagu - Paarl

This area is the lesser known wine area of South Africa but the wines are still of exceptional standard. We start at Wolvendrift, then to Graham Beck, following the R60 to Worcester where we stop at Slanghoek for a tasting and a picnic lunch. We then make our way back towards Cape Town, stopping at Paarl (the oldest town in the country) where we overnight at a B&B (include 10 chapters wine at Paarl).

DAY 4
Paarl - Cape Town

Today we cover 3 wine areas close to Cape Town starting at a farm that is known for its goats, its goat tower and its cheese - Fairview. Here we have a private master tasting overlooking the cellar involving cheese, wine, bread and olive oil. We now head due west for the Altydgedacht wine farm in the Durbanville wine area. We then travel south for the Constantia wine valley for lunch at Constantia Uitsig café and onto our last stop of the tour Klein Constantia for the Vin de Constance. You will then return to your hotel/airport in the late afternoon.
