CAPE TOWN FISHING

With around 3000km of coastline offering two oceans, plus numerous rivers and estuaries, South Africa is an angler’s paradise. The warm East Coast offers a greater variety of fish while the colder waters of the Eastern and Western Cape offer fewer species but in larger numbers. Over 50 species of fish are caught regularly along our coasts while many more are caught in smaller numbers.

Freshwater fishing, especially fly-fishing, has a huge following in South Africa. Opportunities for recreational fishing are abundant throughout the country, and Cape Town offers recreational fishing to excite any avid angler or novice.

Freshwater Fishing

Take a tour of some of the Cape Streams and enjoy fishing in the crystal clear waters as they bubble and flow through the rugged South African landscape, past the beautiful and picturesque wine farming towns of Paarl and Franschhoek just over an hour’s drive from Cape Town.
