CAPE TOWN SURFING - 7-DAY GARDEN ROUTE SUFRING TOUR

Surfing doesn’t have to mean roughing it at crowded backpackers. Spend a week (6 nights and 7 days) surfing all the way up the Garden Route at some of the best spots, while enjoying luxury accommodation en route. Suitable for any level of experience, from beginner.

Day One
We travel from Cape Town to the naturally beautiful village of Pringle Bay, stopping to surf en route at the stunning beaches of Kogel Bay, Betty’s Bay and Kleinmond. You could opt for a walk up to the tranquil ‘Crystal Pools’ below the Steenbras Dam. Another alternative is white water rafting on the Palmiet River in the Kogelberg Nature Reserve.

Day Two
A delectable breakfast precedes the road trip continuing up the coast to the charming fishing village of Still Baai, where we spend the day surfing Still Baai Point and Jongensfontein beach. You can also participate in fishing, diving or water skiing.

Day Three
After a final surf at Still Baai we continue to the jewel-like Victoria Bay, stopping to surf Mossel Bay and Heralds Bay as we go. At Vic Bay we enjoy a combination of almost on-the-beach accommodation and a wicked, world-class right-hand point break! Awesome!

Day Four
Breakfast and a surf – what a way to start the day! Next we head to the lush green and picturesque Knysna region. Sampling the local oysters is a must – the town is renowned for them! We also enjoy viewing the local attractions including the Knysna Heads before we hit the road again – destination Plettenberg Bay. A fun beach afternoon with loads of surfing follows at Plett, one of the country’s top holiday locations. Also available for those looking for added variety are whale watching, river cruises and sea kayaking.

Day Five
Next on the map is the surfing paradise town of St Francis Bay. The cult surf movie Endless Summer was partly filmed here at Bruce’s Beauties Point. Other epic surf spots nearby include Seal Point, Ann Avenue Beach and Huletts Reef.

Day Six
Jeffrey’s Bay is South Africa’s most famous surf spot, drawing international surfers in droves each year. We arrive at J-Bay and book in at our luxurious accommodation, just 20m from those world-renowned super tubes! You have a day free to surf the famous line-up – and leave yourself time to browse and buy at the Billabong, Quicksilver, and local lable Country Feeling factory shops! We end the day with a traditional South African Braai (barbeque)

Day Seven
A final surf in beautiful J-Bay, a hearty breakfast, and it’s time to head for Port Elizabeth, ‘capital’ of the Eastern Cape.
